Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about golf bodywork, booking, and what to expect at KC Fairway Bodywork in Midtown Kansas City.

How often should golfers get bodywork?

Most golfers benefit from bodywork every 2–4 weeks during active season, or at least monthly for maintenance. If you are training heavily, recovering from injury, or playing several times per week, more frequent sessions can help you stay mobile and reduce flare-ups.

What is the difference between sports massage and structural integration?

Sports massage focuses on relieving muscle tension, improving circulation, and supporting recovery for your next round. Structural integration works with fascia over a series of sessions to improve posture, alignment, and long-term movement patterns—often helpful when tightness keeps coming back in the same areas.

Do you accept insurance?

Sessions are not billed to insurance at this time. You may pay at the time of service and use HSA or FSA cards if your plan allows massage or bodywork. Receipts are available upon request.

What should I expect at my first session?

We will discuss your golf routine, pain points, and goals, then assess how you move. Treatment is tailored to your body—combining techniques such as neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue work, and mobility-focused bodywork. Wear comfortable clothing and arrive a few minutes early to your Midtown studio appointment.

Is treatment only for golfers?

Golf-focused bodywork is our specialty, but anyone seeking better mobility, less pain, and improved movement can benefit. Many clients are golfers, but desk workers, runners, and weekend athletes also book sessions.

Do you offer mobile or in-home massage?

Yes. Mobile massage is available in the greater Kansas City metro. Studio sessions are at 406 W 34th St, Suite 511 in Midtown Kansas City. Travel fees may apply outside the immediate metro area.

What should I wear to a session?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For studio sessions you will be properly draped throughout treatment. For mobility-focused work, shorts or athletic wear can be helpful.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged per the policy listed when you book through MassageBook.

Which areas do you commonly treat for golfers?

Common focus areas include hips, thoracic spine, shoulders, neck, and wrists—anywhere restrictions limit your rotation or follow-through. Each session is customized based on your swing and symptoms.

How do I book a session?

Book online through MassageBook for studio appointments, or contact us by phone or email for mobile availability, tournament on-course bodywork, or questions before your first visit.
